“Duke” is just one of a hundred tales with pleased endings. I stuffed them into my dishevelled clothing and climbed into the again of the truck the place I insisted I stayed for the ride home. Once house those stowaways had been sneaked into the barn, the granary or the garage. Once milk and different food had been sneaked in, section considered one of my plan was accomplished. Only in the morning after I ventured out innocently to play, did I finalize my plan. With a smile on my face and a few “foundlings” in my arms, I would sure into the kitchen to show my “compassionate mother” what I had found within the barn, shed or wherever they’d been hidden.
