4 Ways To Preserve Animals So As Not To Experience Extinction

Protecting the environment, be it plants or animals, is one of the tasks that should be done by humans. This will also have an impact on our survival. The importance of preserving wildlife is even commemorated every March 3 and September 4, The purpose of the Wildlife Day is to remind us that we can continue to fight crime against wildlife, especially for endangered and protected animals. Now, to support the preservation of these animals, we can try to do 4 ways in the following page, here.

No Hunting

One of the causes of extinction occurs is that many often hunt for these animals. Although there is Law number 5 of 1990 that explains what animals can and should not be hunted, there are still many illegal hunters who catch or kill protected animals. This hunt is usually done to take some parts of the body of animals that are considered to have high selling points, for example, ivory on elephants and horns on rhinos. Some are even sold to serve as pets. Some animals cannot be cared for just anywhere and require special treatment. People who hunt illegally will also get criminal penalties. So, if you see anyone committing wild abuse, don’t just stand by and report to the nearest security officer, okay!

Protect Genuine Habibat

Another way to preserve animals is to protect and not damage the original habitat, such as forests and the sea. It is in this natural habitat that the animals get food and can breed. We can protect their natural habitat by not doing illegal logging, burning forests, diverting forest areas to become settlements, and dumping rubbish or waste at sea. Also, the use of pesticides and herbicides when growing crops will not only reduce soil fertility but will also affect animals that may be affected or eat the plants.

Conducting Rare Animal Breeding Activities

Animal breeding, such as nature reserves, wildlife reserves, national parks, and others is a place that was built to preserve animals and ensure they breed well. We can visit these places to gain insight into captive breeding of endangered animals or join animal care organizations, such as the Animal Friends Association, the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Zoo Association, the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES), and many more again. Joining these organizations will open up opportunities for us to contribute directly to animal and nature conservation activities.

Spread Insights Regarding Conservation

The easiest way to participate in the preservation of endangered animals is by sharing the insights we have with others. This is because there are still many people who are less aware or do not understand how to preserve the environment. Especially with the existence of social media, we can more easily share this information quickly and efficiently.
